Roman steps in and saves her life, but not before she deals Lucretious the true death in front of his lover, Perdita. Now LeKrista is running for her life and Roman is trying to save it, but she’s not sure if he really cares or if he has some underhanded reason for keeping her alive. She seeks help from Mages but they refuse to help her, even though she exhibits high potential as a Mage herself. In a last ditch effort, Roman whisks LeKrista away, but Perdita finds them. LeKrista must eliminate Perdita one way or another.

I have absolutely no words for this book. There was a lot going on in this book but it was still intriguing. I couldn't stop reading it because I had to know what would happen next. I am really hoping that there is another book to follow this one because I want to know what happens with this group of characters. Do LeKrista and Pierce end up together forever? What is Pierce? Does LeKrista help Roman and the vampires? I have a lot of questions since I finished the book and I look forward to getting answers.

There are a lot of conversations that happen within LeKrista's mind between here and the vampires which can be kind of hard to follow. I do however love the vastness of the characters and the plot. Things I didn't quite get in the beginning of the book were tied up by the end. There is still a lot of questions obviously but hopefully we get some answers soon.

Rating:
4 out of 5 stars

Aleena has loved Jared most of her life. Jared was her brother Christopher’s best friend. Even growing up Jared did everything he could to try and protect Aleena. Then a terrible accident happens and Jared leaves town, along with heart broken Aleena. She is devastated by his departure. Six years later Jared returns for reasons even unknown to him. Jared doesn’t know why he returned to the town where he lost everything. When he sees Aleena he is instantly attracted to the woman she has grown into. And she is just as attracted to him.

Let me say I LOVE childhood romances. I loved how AL Jackson gave us both POV’s in Come to me Quietly. It really helped me get into Jared’s head. I was so drawing to Jared. I absolutely loved his character. Oh poor Jared. My heart just broke for him. He is in such pain and beleves he doesn’t deserve to be loved because of what happened all those years ago. I was rooting for him to find some peace.

Aleena, I LOVED her character also. She was so in love Jared. Growing up Jared watched over Alenna.  It was so cute to read those scenes. Jared did everything he could to protect Aleena growing up. And Aleena loved Jared so much, it was hard for her to move past his leaving. She is a strong, smart, women. And I LOVED the nick name that Jared gave her as kids. Aly Cat so cute.

The way that Jared and Aleena kept my emotions all over the place was GREAT!!! I LOVE feeling the pain and angst of the characters I read about. And this book. WOW I found myself crying, laughing, stunned, heartbroken. This is one of my favorite books I have read this year. This is also the first book I have read from A L Jackson. But man I plan to read many more. Her writing is superb. Storytelling wonderful. I will definitely continue to recommend Come to me Quietly.  5 SUPER SATISFYING STARS!!!!!
