Seducing Lauren Review...

In the second book in the Love Under the Big Sky series from this USA Today bestselling author of the With Me in Seattle series, life in Montana gets spicy when a woman and her divorce lawyer sign off the papers—and sign on to love.

Now that his best friend, Josh, has happily settled down with his true love on a Montana ranch, small-town lawyer Ty Sullivan starts thinking that maybe single life isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. And when Lauren Cunningham’s no-good ex-husband comes after her for an unexpected trust fund, Ty steps in to protect her. But soon he can’t help but think of her as more than a client. Lauren’s in no mood to jump into another relationship, so how can Ty convince her that her mistake wasn’t getting married, but marrying the wrong guy?

REVIEWED BY KAYLA:

I have enjoyed all of Kristen’s books and it was no different with Seducing Lauren. It was an amazing read and I loved it!
Now that Ty’s best friend is settled down with Cara, small town lawyer Ty starts thinking that maybe single life isn’t all that used to be. Lauren’s no good ex-husband is coming after her for the money she received after her parents died. Ty wants to protect her. But he can’t help and be with her too. Lauren doesn’t want another relationship so soon but can Ty convince her that she is worth it?
I liked the dual Point of View. It is always nice to see each person’s perspective in the book.
I found Seducing Lauren to be well written and worth the read. I highly recommend reading this and Loving Cara if you haven’t read it! I give Seducing Lauren 4 out of 5 stars!

They're from opposite worlds but Jamie and Madison have more in common than they realise.
Can their love blossom with their mounting career pressures and the entire world watching?

I have been reading this book for a while now and am really struggling
to get into it. I have pushed it aside multiple times over the last few
months and just can't do it. The story line seems to be well thought out
and the characters are easy to read. It is the writing style that is bothering
me and I can honestly say that I have given up on trying for now. I will
hopefully find the time to come back to it later and see if it gets any better
for me.

WILD ONES REVIEWS...

Jenn's Review:

5 stars of course.

This one is full of little things. Storm and Dane finally touch base. I loved it . There were some things with Melanie that left me wondering but then I remembered its a few chapters at a time. Read them in order and enjoy. They are good.

Ashley's Review:

Oh boy oh boy.  This book is mainly about Melanie trying to figure out what it is she wants.  Does she want to be an artist or something else.  Storm's exbandmates invite her to join them on tour and things get interesting.  This book is slower and a little less interesting to me but it was still an amazing part of the story.

BREAKING STORM REVIEWS...

Jenn's Review:

5 stars

Um is that really how I get left hanging ?? .let's just say hot , scorching and a foursome ....that was AWESOME. I can't wait for the next one. This mini leaves a heck of a cliffhanger but it makes the next one that much sweeter. I can't wait. Good series.

Ashley's Review:

This book is intense and I think it is my favorite of the series.  Rafe/Storm wants to show Melanie he loves her.  He finds out about her kisses with Travis and Diego before he shows up to join the tour and is mad for a short while.  This book had a freaking awesome sex scene and I'll be honest I can't seem to get it out of my head, even as I read the last book.

You should read them all in order to get the complete story about what is going but this one is a can't miss!

This was a wonderful end to this "mini series" .
You must read these in order but they are good stories. I would definitely read this again. I love Opals books and this was no different. Very sexy and hot !!!

Ashley's Review:

So this is the last book in this serial and boy was it good.  Rafe/Storm gets over his fear of hurting Melanie.  They take the time to talk about what happened with the accident and the foursome.  Good book but I still think book 5 is my favorite.  I'm just glad that these characters were able to get the happy ending they were in dire need of in this series.

Dreaming of the Sea Review...

The Sea Witch has abandoned her duties at the bottom of the sea to lead a dissolute life on land. All goes well until the devil visits her luxury suite to remind her she's not getting any younger. He won't take her immortal soul and save her from an eternity of suffering if she doesn't find an apprentice before she dies. The Sea Witch can't allow that to happen; she's committed far too many spiritual crimes. However, the world has changed in the last one-hundred-forty years. No one even believes creatures like her exist.

A young mer prince lives a solitary life exiled from the sea. He serves the Sea Witch as payment for saving the mer kingdom long ago. Now she promises to release him from his debt if he'll help her find an apprentice. He crafts an employment ad to lure the perfect candidate.

Miriam is an unusual young woman. An orphan raised in the confines of a convent, she yearns to contribute something of spiritual value to the world. She comes across an employment ad for a caretaker in a local paper and feels compelled to respond. When she arrives for her interview, the mer prince does his best to dissuade her from taking the position, but suspicious of his motives, she refuses to heed his warnings. By the time she realizes her stubbornness has cost her a love she never imagined could be hers, it's too late. Miriam's faith in herself unravels as her choices take her farther and farther out to sea.

Dreaming of the Sea is a retelling of Han's Christian Andersen's "The Little Mermaid."

The Girl Who Believed in Fairy Tales is a prelude to the Once Upon a Time Today collection and includes the three short stories:

The Once Upon a Time Today novellas:
Dreaming of the Sea

I have never read anything by this author before and thought this book looked interesting.  Sadly I was left disappointed by this book.  While it was good it wasn't great.  I don't know what I can really say about this book.

The story tells about how the sea witch came to be and how they ended.  However, it fell kind of flat for me.  I don't know what it was exactly that I didn't like  about the book but I really struggled to get through it.

Unforgettable (Gentleman's Club #1) Review...

Can an older man be everything Krista’s been looking for?

Krista Michaels’ dating life has been non-existent since her divorce a year before. When her best friend steps in and declares it’s time for a night out at the newest May/December hang-out, The Gentleman’s Club, Krista enters a whole new world and lays eyes on a man who leaves her speechless.

Neil Clark likes younger women and having a good time. Krista catches his attention right away, From their first conversation, he can tell she isn’t a woman to simply play with. One problem: Krista isn’t interested, or so she says. But Neil isn’t about to let her slip away.

Krista’s heart and mind battle it out as Neil does his best to win her over. But they have one huge difference in what they want out of life, and Krista isn’t willing to give up her values, not for a man, not for money, not for love...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lacey Wolfe has struck again.  Reading the blurb I wasn't sure how I would feel about this book but I haven't found a book by her I haven't loved so I took the chance and wasn't disappointed.
This book follows Krista who is dragged to the Gentleman's Club by a friend.  There she meets Neil a Millionaire business man.  The Gentleman's Club is a club where older men can meet younger women.
This story is good.  What caught my attention was the fact that while these characters ages and backgrounds were so different it seemed to work.  I will be the first to admit that this wasn't my favorite book but it wasn't bad either.  I thought Krista's character was a bit too wishy washy or maybe all the other characters were just too strong and it made her seem that way.  I can't really decide how that plays out but I think I would definitely read more books about the Gentleman's Club if they came along!
Ransom Review...
Daisy Harris has no reason to suspect that her day will be any different than usual. She’ll go to class, alone. She won’t speak or make eye contact. She’ll spend her entire day doing her best to go completely unnoticed. That’s what life is like for Daisy now—an endless cycle of loneliness and fear. Then she sees it. A magazine, left behind in class. A simple picture—just his face. And it changes everything.
A year since he left Daisy behind—left her to watch as everything she knew crumbled around her. She’s been running from Daltrey ever since, desperate to keep her secret.
But she can’t run anymore. And now that Daltrey has found her—the girl he’s loved his entire life, the girl he’d give up everything for—he’s determined never to let her go again.
Daisy has been through hell and back.  All she knows now is loneliness.  Until one day while attending class she comes across a magazine that full of pictures of the guys who were once her friends, Ransom the rock band.  Her best friend Daltrey is a member and looking at his picture reminds her of all she has lost. She wonders if she can ever get it back!
I give this book 4 stars.
I really enjoyed reading this book.  Daisy has gone through so much and along the way she distanced herself from her friends.  Now she's on the right track to get her life back and part of that is reconnecting with Daltry.  With new found friends she embarks on a trip that will change her life.  I loved loved Paige and Karen, her new friends and can't wait to read their books.  They were the perfect people along with Daltrey to bring Daisy back to herself.  And Daltrey was the perfect, patients hot rock star to be her man.  I loved how patient and understanding he was with her.  I loved how he loved her and wanted to defend and protect her.  I didn't give the book 5 stars because it ended too fast and abruptly.  But all in all great story.  I would definitely recommend it and look forward to reading more about the Ransome brothers.
